SPACETIME – A Musical Encounter Across Borders
The luminous island of Paros, nestled in the heart of the Aegean Sea, has stirred the imagination of artists since ancient times. All the musicians, special guests and visual creatives behind The Sound of Paros are bound by a shared fondness for the serene beauty of the Cyclades — a place where space and time seem to expand and merge into one dimension: SPACETIME.
The project began as a conversation among musicians and creatives who had crossed paths over the years through various performances and artistic encounters in the island of Paros.
In April 2025, a group of musicians, photographers, graphic designers and visual artists converged at White Pebbles Studio in Paros to bring a long-envisioned musical project to life. The result is SPACETIME – a musical journey spanning cultures and generations, inspired by the island and rooted in jazz, electronic music, Mediterranean flavors and poetry.
The sonic foundation of the album is built on the Fender VI guitar (Marc Buronfosse), surrounded by the Fender Rhodes electric piano (Yiannis Papadopoulos), electric bass (Arnaud Ginioux), saxophone (Stavros Manthos), drums (Panagiotis Kostopoulos), and percussion (Ferruccio Gadani).
Added to this core are the essential contributions of our special guests: jazz legend Franco Ambrosetti on flugelhorn, Nefeli Fasouli on vocals, Kimon Xigkis on qanoun, and Jean-Philippe Carlot with poetry — all woven together through a live-playing dynamic and intuitive arrangements. A vibrant celebration of unity in diversity.
