Victoria Alexanyan presents “Vishap”

Victoria Alexanyan will unveil “Vishap”, her new album, on its release, February 06, 2026 (digital, CD and vinyl), on Musiques en balade/ InOuïe Distribution. This opus will be presented on Thursday, February 18, 2026, on the stage of Le 360 (Paris) during an exceptional launch concert. The single “Désordre nouveau” is already available on all platforms. When Victoria Alexanyan decided to leave her native Armenia to settle in France, she never imagined that it would be such a powerful revelation of the ancestral culture that lived within her. Through her music, she evokes not only Armenia's turbulent history, transforming anger into poetry, but also her sensitive relationship with the world, imbued with a love of freedom and universality. Her compositions, both personal and political, are marked by a profound rebellion against injustice, which she expresses with particular delicacy. In her first album with a quintet, “Vishap” (dragon), she awakens this mythical and ambiguous creature that haunts the Armenian imagination. Buried under rocks and lakes, it carries an ancient and immutable memory. Vishap thus becomes a song, an incantation carried by the winds of the Armenian mountains. The music winds its way between mystery and bursts of energy, imbued with a feminine and rebellious spirit. Complex meters, improvisations, and modal influences intertwine, giving birth to an untameable soundscape, much like the dragon itself. Line-up: Victoria Alexanyan (vocals, composition) Amin Al Aiedy (oud, nay, co-composition) Vincent Forestier (piano, co-composition) Yann Phayphet (double bass) Matheo Ciesla (drums, backing vocals)   Victoria Alexanyan biography: Born in Armenia in 1995 and a graduate of the Yerevan State Conservatory, she was introduced to jazz by pianist Vahagn Hayrapetyan, mentor to Tigran Hamasyan. Passionate about the French language and music, she moved to France in 2018 to continue her studies at the Lyon Conservatory. There, she immersed herself in various artistic projects, ranging from jazz to French chanson, not to mention traditional Armenian music. Victoria created her own project in 2020, which was warmly received at several festivals, leading to a first tour in Armenia in 2022. In 2023, Victoria won second prize in the Crest Jazz Vocal competition. In early 2025, she was awarded a scholarship from Adami and Jazz Sous Les Pommiers, which enabled her to be mentored by vocalist Leïla Martial. This encounter opened a new chapter in her artistic life. In September 2025, Victoria was selected as a Women in Jazz laureate by Anne Paceo, Les Gémeaux (Scène Nationale) & Jazz Sous Les Pommiers. Alongside music, Victoria nurtures her passion for theater. She trained at the Sandra-Romond School of Breathing in Paris. Today, she collaborates with “T.A.M.A. Paris” and Cours Myriade in Lyon, where she writes and directs her first play, “Le monde s'est bouché les oreilles” (The world has covered its ears).

Cumbia Chicharra present “Quinto Mundo”

Cumbia Chicharra will unveil “Quinto Mundo”, their fifth album, on its release, December 12, 2025 (digital, CD, vinyl) on Music Box Publishing / L'Autre Distribution. This opus will be presented on Friday, January 9, 2026, on the stage of Studio de L'Ermitage (Paris) during an exceptional launch concert. The single ‘Sueño de Domingo’ is already available on all platforms. Cumbia Chicharra (France/Chile) fervently spreads cumbia in its own way: powerful, adventurous, sensitive, and generous. They come in many styles: cumbia and traditional South American, plena, afrobeat, dub, funk, hip hop, Balkan, electro... This fusion becomes a joyous, explosive sound always balanced by the pulse of cumbia rhythm. In just five albums, this band of eight musicians has become one of the leading families of Afro-Latin music in Europe. Cumbia Chicharra is composed of: Pati Gajardo: vocals Romain Davidico: vocals, trombone César Bouteau: congas, tumba, tambor alegre Olivier Boyer: vocals, guira, campanas, shekere, cymbals Maxime Marachélian: drums, timbales Benjamin Charras: bass, guitar Sébastien Ruiz Levy: flugelhorn, cornet François Escojido: keyboards, accordion After more than 15 years spent between stages and recording studios, Cumbia Chicharra presents its fifth album, "Quinto Mundo", this autumn 2025. Its eight musicians form a loyal team that indulges in the luxury of playing what they like, here and now. Recorded without artifice near Marseille, performed live, mixed on location collectively, thanks to the magicians of Studio K, this album features eight new compositions and a trance version of Simon Diaz's famous "Tonada de luna llena". Quinto Mundo is a fifth world, a musical planet that Cumbia Chicharra sought to evoke, a maelstrom of many different styles and influences. A world on the edge of dreams (Sueño de Domingo, Yacumama), imbued with poetry and contemplation (Tonada de luna llena). Quinto Mundo is a shared space, woven from interactions and small steps (El gusto, Lunatica, Le train de Toulouse), with struggles and determination (El estallido), and love in motion (Esa manera, La chica que no te deja dormir). In this fifth musical world, it's natural to hear, in a wave of Colombian ternary percussion, a captivating sound of oriental synthesizer (Tonada de luna llena), or to experience how afro-beat resonates all the way to the barricades of Chile (El estallido), how a cumbia accordion paying homage to Colombian maestros and maestras (El gusto) can evoke the taste of the streets of Marseille, or how a psychedelic cha-cha-cha (La chica que no te deja dormir) can take us to the borders of Jamaica and delirium... "Viejo me voy, ya te quiero tanto" (Lunatica). Never sit still and keep moving, Cumbia Chicharra cannot act otherwise. Quinto Mundo: a dancing planet, a world that resolves its paradoxes, and that finally reveals itself in a large family of sounds, this is what Cumbia Chicharra wanted to offer in its 5th album.

Le Vent du Nord presents “Voisinages”

Le Vent du Nord, the internationally renowned Quebec quintet, has just successfully completed its special 20th anniversary tour and is back with its 13th album, ‘Voisinages’, which will be released on 10/10/2025 in digital format (worldwide). The album ‘Voisinages’ is available for pre-order on all platforms. Their first single/music video, ‘Sur le pont,’ is already available. The new album explores the universal theme of Voisinages (neighbourhoods), a subject that encompasses various interpretations of neighbours and connections. There is the closeness between musical neighbours such as the Irish, Scots, Acadians and Americans who have all enriched Québec’s repertoire. Then there are those neighbours with whom we share our rivers and streams, those who bear witness to history – battles won or lost,  wrongdoings, losses, friendships, and above all, love. Le Vent du Nord, a creative group performing French songs and World Music, is composed of : - André (Dédé) Gagné: vocals, bouzouki and guitar - Nicolas Boulerice: vocals, piano, hurdy-gurdy and bells - André Brunet: violin, footwork and vocals - Réjean Brunet: bass, diatonic accordion, piano, bombarde and vocals - Olivier Demers: violin, footwork, mandolin, guitar, bass tom, bass drum and vocals With the release of their 13th album, entitled ‘’Voisinages’’ and available on 10 October, Le Vent du Nord tackles the theme of neighbourhoods, a universal source of inspiration. In particular, musical neighbourhoods, which have always enriched their repertoire: those of the Irish, Scots, Americans and Acadians, to name but a few. They are also the neighbourhoods with our rivers and streams, witnesses to history: battles won or lost, abuses, losses, friendships and, above all, loves. ‘Throughout the album, we wanted to explore the idea of neighbourhood from every angle, but we also thought of it as a call for openness and reconciliation. It's an invitation to create happy neighbourhoods,’ explains Nicolas Boulerice. ‘We started this movement on Territoires, and now we're focusing more on the people who live there.’ While ’’20 Printemps’’ was intended to be an album of celebration and joy, for ‘’Voisinages’’, the band allowed themselves a few melancholic ballads. "There are also more literary songs, while still keeping one foot in tradition. With the arrival of André Gagné, who has his own unique style and voice, it took us somewhere else and made us want to try new things and challenge ourselves. As a result, we are particularly proud of this album, which was created in the joy of creation, renewed, even after 23 years of touring," adds Nicolas Boulerice.

Fabienne Magnant presents “Cordas Sensíveis / Cordes Sensibles”

Fabienne Magnant will unveil “Cordas Sensíveis / Cordes Sensibles”, her fifth album, on its CD release, November 07, 2025, on Guit'Art Productions / Music Box Publishing / InOuïe Distribution. This opus will be presented on Thursday, December 4, 2025, on the stage of Les 2 Pianos (Paris) during an exceptional launch concert. ‘’This fifth album is a testament to several years of travels and artistic inspiration. Once again, I play my three guitars (classical/Brazilian guitar, flamenco guitar, and viola caipira) as I did on my previous album, La Trinidad (2011), but this time solo or with other musicians ranging from a duo to a quartet. The pieces featured are masterpieces from the classical repertoire, flamenco solos arrangements of gems from Brazilian popular music on my viola caipira, and personal compositions with my guitars accompanied by percussion, bass and double bass, rabeca, bass clarinet, and poetic vocals. This melting pot, reflecting my many musical passions, leaves plenty of room for sharing with other musicians and poets, but without forgetting the intimacy that instrumental solos can offer, which is so dear to me. Let's hope that this album, “Cordes Sensibles”, will bring together listeners of different sensibilities around a single voice: that of music!’’ Fabienne Magnant On this new album, Fabienne Magnant (classical/ Brazilian guitar, flamenco guitar and viola caïpira) is accompanied by: - Dominique Muzeau (bass and electro-acoustic bass), - Akiko Horii (percussion) - Samuel Thézé (bass clarinet) - François Kokelaere (percussion, vocals, poetry), - Consuelo De Paula (vocals and poetry) - Ricardo Vignini (viola caïpira) - Andre Rass (percussion), - Pedro Macedo (double bass) - Bruno Menegatti (rabeca) Fabienne Magnant is a French guitarist, composer, and teacher who has been passionate about classical guitar since childhood. Trained by great masters such as Olivier Chassain and Roland Dyens, she has distinguished herself with an international career marked by diverse musical exploration. At the age of 25, after graduating from conservatory, she left for Brazil, where she met influential musicians, notably guitarist Baden Powell. This stay inspired her to compose and explore new musical horizons. Her albums, such as Le sens des sens (2003), are the fruit of her travels and influences, particularly in northeastern Brazil; she became a figure in Brazilian music with her instrument of choice, the viola caïpira. Her musical curiosity also led her to explore flamenco guitar in Andalusia, incorporating this influence into her work. Fabienne Magnant has released five albums, including “La Trinidad” in 2011, and her new opus, released on all platforms in May 2025, “Cordas sensiveis/Cordes Sensibles” on Music Box Publishing, and on InOuïe Distribution from November 7, 2025, in physical stores. She is regularly praised by the specialist press. In 2018 and 2019, she was listed in the top 10 traditional Brazilian musicians by the São Paulo newspaper Sertaopaulistano. She teaches classical and Latin guitar (as a tenured professor of artistic education) at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental d'Evry and performs regularly in concerts in Europe and Brazil. Her compositions are published by Les Productions d'Oz (sheet music) and Music Bo Publishing (in the film and documentary music catalog). She collaborates with many renowned artists (Zé Luis Nascimento, Maria Inès Guimarães, Akiko Horii, François Kokelaere, Consuelo de Paula, Ricardo Vignini, Andre Rass, Pedro Macedo, etc.).

Gabriel Lenoir presents “Tournivelle”, the new album by La Cuivraille

Gabriel Lenoir will unveil "Tournivelle", La Cuivraille second album, on its release November 21, 2025 on Les Beaux Jours / InOuïe Distribution. The single ‘Cap Gris Nez-The Gale’, the first single from this album, will be available on September 26, 2025 on all platforms. Ten years after their first album, La Cuivraille returns with "Tournivelle", a record that celebrates traditional dancing while bringing it fully into the present day. A festive, poetic, and generous album, designed for dancing and listening. Created in 2014, La Cuivraille is a band that uniquely blends the sounds of traditional French music with the energy and textures of contemporary music (groove, funk, reggae, etc.). Through a clever mix of violin, vocals, brass section (trumpet, trombone, saxophone), electric bass, and percussion, the group offers a modern, lively, and accessible sound that is both rooted in tradition and resolutely forward-looking. La Cuivraille is composed of: Gabriel Lenoir: compositions, violin, vocals Maké Knockaert: trumpet, flugelhorn, vocals Florian Laihem: saxophone, vocals Constant Sajaloli: trombone, vocals Louis Descamps: bass, doublebass, vocals Nicolas Painset: percussions, vocals Prune Lacante: violin (guest on track 13). “Each album by Gabriel Lenoir is a new journey. Let's be clear, this isn't about getting on a plane, playing at so-called exoticism, all-inclusive holidays and whatnot. Not at all! We stroll, we wander, we roam, we breathe in the air, we visit the nooks and crannies of our own regions, or even just a little further afield. Remember the seeds. All the seeds... not the ones that a few ill-intentioned multinationals (that sounds like a pleonasm) are trying to impose on you at the expense of the incredible wealth of plant, vegetable and flower diversity available throughout our countryside. All the seeds, all the fragrances, tastes and flavours of our rural areas, our terroirs and our cultures. Gabriel Lenoir is one of those amateur seed gardeners we thought had been forgotten. He dares to sow seeds, take cuttings and experiment with combinations. He is unpretentious but has the passion of an intelligent grower who understands what gleaning brings to his garden. When you take the time to look at his repertoire – or repertoires, given the number of groups and projects he is involved in – you find traces of several generations. Those who still had the old seeds and sowed them regularly, those who went to meet them to see, learn and pass on their knowledge, those who still receive this legacy today, spreading it by reinventing it, trying out other combinations, other variations. Without forgetting where this treasure of simplicity comes from, a treasure that, in this case, makes people dance by instilling in them as much pleasure as a juicy fruit or a smooth wine. This is Gabriel's talent: whatever group he leads, he draws on an enormous heritage whose richness he understands. And, in this new album by his group La Cuivraille, he stands out as a strong individual within a strong community. A community outlined above and shared between those who have given free access to music rooted in tradition and those who, like Gabriel, have understood the subtle blend of responsibility and freedom that such a heritage offers. So here we have his violin and voice again, accompanied by bass, percussion and a brass section. Few have dared to add brass to this type of repertoire“ (...). Etienne Bours

Balkan Taksim presents “Acide balkanique”

Sorry, this entry is only available in FR. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language. You may click the link to switch the active language.

Gaëlle Bagot & Juan Manuel Nieto present “Jardin d’ailleurs”

Gaëlle Bagot & Juan Manuel Nieto will reveal Jardin d'ailleurs, their new album, on its release on October 03, 2025 under MusiqueLive / InOuïe Distribution. This opus will be presented on Wednesday, November 05, 2025 on the stage of Les 2 Pianos (Paris, 15th) during an exceptional launch concert. The fruit of labour centered on improvisation and orality, this first album features nine original compositions, performed by Gaëlle Bagot on lead vocals and clarinets - B flat, E flat, bass - and Juan Manuel Nieto on piano and vocals. On three tracks, two guests bring their taste for experimentation and hybridization to the duo: cellist Simon Lannoy, constantly on the lookout for sound exploration, and beatboxer Oxyjinn, a vocal explorer. Jardin d'ailleurs evokes an intimate and poetic sonic voyage, at the crossroads of jazz, world music and chanson, and blends the nomadic breath of the clarinet, a clear and expressive voice, and a piano with pop or jazz harmonies. The album navigates between world rhythms, sung melodies and improvisations, like a musical travel diary with warm, lively accents. In search of aerial flights and cross-country surveys, these two musicians forge their complicity around the art of duo and unveil compositions that invite travel beyond borders. Gaëlle Bagot, French clarinettist and singer, and Juan Manuel Nieto, Ecuadorian pianist, met in 2017 as part of the “Jazz, improvised & traditional music” curriculum at Pôle Sup' 93, an advanced training program that enabled them to perfect their skills with renowned artists such as Vincent Ségal, Magic Malik, Julien Lourau, Bojan Z and François Jeanneau. For three years, they enriched their respective worlds, fusing influences and learning. After graduating, and with the support of cellist Vincent Ségal, Gaëlle and Juan decided in 2020 to form a minimalist duo, piano and clarinet/voice. Their first arrangements were covers of songs and pieces from local and international cultures. But they soon moved on to original creations. Their original compositions, created by the two of them, explore a melodic language rich in polyrhythms, ornaments, unisons and varied playing modes; they are nourished by their eclectic musical curiosity: folk, jazz, salsa, French chanson, Ecuadorian, Brazilian and Argentinean music, Breton/Irish music, Balkan music, maloya, etc. Since 2021, the duo has been performing in concert, notably at Festival Saint-Denis, Festival Jazz in Noyon, Sunset-Sunside and La Bellevilloise in Paris.

Matjé presents the single “Mal à la mer”

Sorry, this entry is only available in FR. For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in the alternative language.
