Cécile Evrot (flamenco singer-songwriter) will release “Dévers”, her new album, on 4 December 2026 via Eau Forte / InOuïe Distribution.
The first single, “Peau d’Or”, will be available on all platforms from 23 October 2026!
Cécile Evrot has developed a unique style of songwriting, at the crossroads of French chanson and flamenco.
Her debut album Dévers (the tilt, the slope) explores the beauty of what tilts within us, and this quest to stand tall despite everything.
From her deep immersion in flamenco, she retains a distinct penchant for sunny dissonances, irregular rhythms and that very distinctive vocal timbre that captures the soul.
Accompanied by a piano that is by turns urgent and melancholic, she weaves melodies that gently tug at the heartstrings and sometimes stray beyond the verse-chorus structure.
The lyrics remain at the heart of her work, intense and poetic.
Throughout the album, her songs are adorned with flamenco rhythms and backing vocals as well as layers of electronic sound, and give pride of place to instrumental contributions, such as the notable appearances of Sylvain Barou on the duduk (‘De tous les amours’) and Milàn Tabak on drums (‘Des forêts dans la tête’).
From twilight ballads to luminous soaring passages, Dévers transports us to a place of familiar mystery.
