Des fid\u00e8les comme <strong>Badje Tounkara<\/strong> (ngoni), <strong>Ballak\u00e9 Sissoko<\/strong> (kora), <strong>Lansine Kouyat\u00e9<\/strong> (balafon) ou des invit\u00e9s sachant combien l\u2019on ne p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans la musique mandingue qu\u2019avec tact et d\u2019humilit\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019instar d\u2019un <strong>Jean-Philippe Rykiel<\/strong>, familier des musiciens africains, dont le piano prend ses quartiers dans la savane. La pr\u00e9sence de la chanteuse <strong>Aminata Camara<\/strong>, qui fut choriste de son p\u00e8re, symbolisant comme un passage de t\u00e9moin. Encore que le plus fascinant dans cet album est la voix de Kaabi, dont le timbre, les modulations, les inflexions, fac\u00e9tie de l\u2019ADN, font \u00e9cho de fa\u00e7on si troublante \u00e0 celle du plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre griot de la Guin\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sory Kandia Kouyat\u00e9<\/strong> (1933-1977) fut \u00ab La voix \u00bb de la Guin\u00e9e ind\u00e9pendante. Descendant de <strong>Balla Fass\u00e9k\u00e9 Kouyat\u00e9<\/strong>, l\u2019illustre \u00ab djeli \u00bb (d\u00e9tenteur de la tradition orale d\u2019un peuple) de <strong>Soundiata Ke\u00efta<\/strong>, le fondateur de l\u2019Empire du Mandingue, initi\u00e9 \u00e0 la musique (notamment au ngoni) et \u00e0 la complexe g\u00e9n\u00e9alogie mandingue par son \u00e9rudit de p\u00e8re, il rejoint tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t la cour royale de Mamou o\u00f9 ses dons vont faire merveille. Plus tard, se fixant \u00e0 Lab\u00e9, il y cr\u00e9e un ensemble traditionnel. C\u2019est aussi \u00e0 Lab\u00e9, qu\u2019en 1951, <strong>S\u00e9kou Tour\u00e9<\/strong> le d\u00e9couvre. Son int\u00e9gration ult\u00e9rieure dans les Ballets Africains de Ke\u00efta Fod\u00e9ba va le faire remarquer tr\u00e8s loin de son Fouta-Djalon. Et fort d\u2019un premier disque chez Vogue et de tourn\u00e9es internationales, il devient, apr\u00e8s l\u2019ind\u00e9pendance de 1958, la figure de proue du Panafricanisme versus guin\u00e9en. En t\u00e9moignent son r\u00f4le dans Le Ballet national Djoliba, son ouverture orchestrale avec K\u00e9l\u00e9tigui Traor\u00e9 et ses Tambourinis (Prix Charles Cros 1970), le travail d\u2019exp\u00e9rimentation qu\u2019il r\u00e9alisa avec L\u2019Ensemble instrumental et choral \u00ab La Voix de la R\u00e9volution \u00bb, ses prestations au Festival panafricain d\u2019Alger en 1969, \u00e0 l\u2019ONU, ou au Festac (Festival Panafricain des Arts N\u00e8gres de Lagos 1977).<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est \u00e0 ce baobab de la chanson guin\u00e9enne qu\u2019un de ses fils, <strong>Kabin\u00e9 Kandia Kouyat\u00e9,<\/strong> alias <strong>Kaabi<\/strong>, consacre cet hommage.
