H\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la p\u00e9riode esclavagiste et n\u00e9 dans les plantations guadeloup\u00e9ennes le Gwoka<\/strong> est fortement marqu\u00e9 par ses sources africaines.
\nC\u2019est l\u2019expression m\u00eame de la culture guadeloup\u00e9enne<\/strong> et l\u2019une des formes les plus cr\u00e9atives de la cr\u00e9olisation<\/strong> musicale en Cara\u00efbe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Musique interdite pendant longtemps par L’Eglise, l’Ecole voire m\u00eame sur les antennes radiophoniques, le Gwoka<\/strong> repr\u00e9sente une tradition populaire exigeante, qui associe l’art du tambour<\/strong>, du chant<\/strong> et de la danse<\/strong> selon des r\u00e8gles et des rythmes pr\u00e9cis, une expression cr\u00e9ole tr\u00e8s vivante, partag\u00e9e par toutes les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, surtout lors des \u00ab L\u00e9woz<\/strong> \u00bb, longs rassemblements nocturnes du vendredi soir.
\nLe Gwoka<\/strong> alterne chant du soliste et r\u00e9ponse par un ch\u0153ur et accorde une bonne place \u00e0 l\u2019improvisation.<\/p>\n

Le souhait de Reali Association<\/strong> est de cr\u00e9er un festival autour du Gwoka<\/strong>, partant du constat que c’est une musique que l’on entend peu \u00e0 Paris<\/strong> et qui s\u2019adresse encore \u00e0 un public de connaisseurs.
\nD’une saison \u00e0 l’autre, la programmation est repens\u00e9e en fonction de l\u2019\u00e9dition qui vient de se d\u00e9rouler.
\nL’id\u00e9e \u00e9tant d’associer le Jazz<\/strong> et le Gwoka<\/strong> deux musiques de douleur, n\u00e9es dans les champs de coton et de cannes \u00e0 sucre.
\nCette ann\u00e9e 2013 verra se succ\u00e9der sur la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre sc\u00e8ne du New Morning<\/strong> les artistes Kan’nida, Indestwas Ka, Sonny Troup\u00e9 Quartet, Thierry Fanfant et Vincent S\u00e9gal, V\u00e9ronique Hermman Sambin Quartet, Fanny B\u00e9riaux <\/strong>et aussi Black Bazar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
