L’artiste am\u00e9ricano-nig\u00e9rian KUKU<\/strong> sera en concert exceptionnel sur la sc\u00e8ne du Studio de L’Ermitage<\/strong> le jeudi 26 novembre \u00e0 20h30. Il pr\u00e9sentera en exclusivit\u00e9 son nouvel EP \u00ab KUKU Revisited<\/strong> \u00bb.<\/p>\n

N\u00cbGGUS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Du collectif Chant d’encre<\/strong> \u00e0 l’album \u00abSocial Groove<\/strong>\u00bb en collaboration avec le quintet Kungobram<\/strong>, N\u00ebggus<\/strong> a toujours privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 les rencontres et les exp\u00e9rimentations musicales pour nourrir son \u00abAfro spoken word\u00bb d’influences urbaines et des sonorit\u00e9s de son Afrique natale. Une musique du monde actuel sur laquelle se partage des textes empreints d’humanit\u00e9 qui questionnent notre \u00e9poque et ses exc\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

FIXI<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Bossard<\/strong> alias Fixi<\/strong> est un multi-instrumentiste fran\u00e7ais ayant travaill\u00e9 avec l\u2019artiste jama\u00efcain Winston McAnuff<\/strong>, entre autres, avec lequel il a sorti un EP et un album en 2013. Avant cette carri\u00e8re solo, il \u00e9tait accord\u00e9oniste\/clavi\u00e9riste dans le groupe de rap-musette fran\u00e7ais Java<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MONSIEUR SCOTT<\/strong><\/p>\n

D\u2019apr\u00e8s nos sources \u00ab Monsieur Scott<\/strong> \u00bb serait un multi-instrumentiste qui enregistre et joue sur sc\u00e8ne depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es avec des artistes tels que Tony Allen<\/strong>, Fixi<\/strong>, Manu Dibango<\/strong>\u2026 Sa curiosit\u00e9 pour les musiques \u00e9lectroniques et les heures d’attente aux a\u00e9roports, h\u00f4tels et bachotage pendant la derni\u00e8re tourn\u00e9e de Tony Allen<\/strong> l\u2019auraient conduit \u00e0 remixer diff\u00e9rents titres sur son lap top pour Tony Allen<\/strong> donc puis pour KUKU<\/strong>\u2026 Ses influences musicales sont principalement le jazz, la musique africaine et les musiques \u00e9lectroniques (Henrik Schwartz<\/strong>, SBTRK<\/strong>, Nicolas Jaar<\/strong>, NU<\/strong>, James Blake<\/strong>\u2026)<\/p>\n

KUKU<\/strong>, auteur et compositeur am\u00e9ricain<\/strong> et d’origine nig\u00e9riane<\/strong>, dresse un pont entre ses racines yorouba et le monde occidental. Ses textes conscients en Yorouba, Anglais, et Pidjin anglais m\u00e9lang\u00e9s subtilement avec les sonorit\u00e9s d’une guitare percutante et les rythmes contagieux des percussions composent son oeuvre musicale cosmopolitaine \u00ab made in Ijebu \u00bb. Son album sorti en 2012 Soldier of Peace <\/strong>(B\u00c1L\u00d3GUN \u00ccR\u00d2R\u00d9N <\/strong>a tr\u00e8s bien \u00e9t\u00e9 accueilli par les m\u00e9dia. Sa version du l\u00e9gendaire hymne du club de foot de Liverpool You\u2019ll Never Walk Alone<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 la bande son de la publicit\u00e9 officielle sponsoris\u00e9e par ORANGE<\/strong> \u00e0 l’occasion de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2013<\/strong>. La derni\u00e8re collaboration de KUKU<\/strong> avec le rappeur belgo-congolais Baloji<\/strong> sur la reprise du \u00ab Buy Africa<\/strong> \u00bb de Fela Kuti<\/strong> est le titre single de l’album \u00e0 but caritatif RED HOT + FELA<\/strong> , sorti en 2013 par Knitting Factory Records<\/strong>. Son nouveau projet Ballads & Blasphemy<\/strong>, est sorti en France le 1er juin 2015 (chez Quart de Lune<\/strong> \/ Buda Musique<\/strong> \/ Socadisc<\/strong>) puis en septembre aux Etats-Unis (chez Quart de Lune<\/strong> \/ Buda Musique<\/strong>\/ Allegro<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
