Le groupe Balimaya<\/strong> r\u00e9v\u00e8lera son dernier album \u00e9ponyme sur la sc\u00e8ne du Studio de L’Ermitage<\/strong>,  \u00e0 l’occasion d’un concert exceptionnel le vendredi 9<\/strong> septembre 2022<\/strong> \u00e0 20h30<\/strong>. Cet opus est sorti chez Buda Musique \/ Socadisc<\/strong> le 8 novembre 2019<\/strong>.<\/div>\n

BALIMAYA<\/strong>
\nDans les langues mandingues d\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest, Balimaya<\/strong> signifie \u201cparent\u00e9\u201d, \u201cfraternit\u00e9\u201d. Une famille au sens large qui s\u2019exprime ici, r\u00e9unie autour d\u2019un duo de percussionnistes form\u00e9 par Julien<\/strong> Andr\u00e9<\/strong> et Ibrahima Diabat\u00e9<\/strong>, m\u00ealant djemb\u00e9, dundun et batterie. Cette collaboration a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en 1994 \u00e0 Bamako et s\u2019est poursuivie \u00e0 Paris. Elle a permis de d\u00e9velopper une fa\u00e7on de combiner les jeux un peu \u00abtout terrain\u00bb, dans un \u00e9ventail allant du style format\u00e9 des c\u00e9r\u00e9monies traditionnelles \u00e0 l’improvisation la plus libre. Inspir\u00e9e par le jazz et l\u2019improvisation, elle prend aujourd\u2019hui une nouvelle direction. Balimaya<\/strong> se nourrit de rythmes mandingues jou\u00e9s pour la danse. Ils ne sont pas repris dans leur format originel mais demeurent n\u00e9anmoins une source d\u2019inspiration, pour cr\u00e9er une musique o\u00f9 les voix s\u2019entrecroisent. Basse, saxophone, vibraphone et marimba se joignent \u00e0 cette famille, dans des compositions pens\u00e9es comme des jeux, variant grooves, timbres, dynamiques, ouvrant la voie \u00e0 l\u2019improvisation.<\/div>\n
