Los Guayabo Brothers<\/strong> will unveil their new album “PsychoTropical<\/strong>” on its release April 5, 2024<\/strong>, on Los Guayabo Brothers<\/strong> \/ InOu\u00efe Distribution<\/strong>. This new work will be presented live on stage on Thursday May 2, 2024<\/strong> at Studio de L\u2019Ermitage<\/strong> (Paris).<\/p>\n

Their first single “Fango<\/strong>” will be available on February 16, 2024<\/strong> across all digital platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Their original compositions are inspired by Colombian folklore, with organic percussion and flutes reminiscent of Tot\u00f3 La Momposina<\/strong> meeting guitars, synths, and psychedelic brass akin to Pink<\/strong>
\nFloyd<\/strong> or Ondatr\u00f3pica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Los Guayabo Brothers<\/strong> consist of:
\n– Juan Pablo \u00c1lvarez<\/strong>: electric guitar, backing vocals, percussions
\n– Arnulfo Carazo<\/strong>: lead vocals, acoustic guitar, synthesizers
\n– Iv\u00e1n Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>: alegre, congas, backing vocals
\n– \u00c1lvaro Olmos<\/strong>: bass, backing vocals
\n– Rodrigo Pe\u00f1a<\/strong>: tambora, bombo leguero, drums
\n– Camille Floriot<\/strong>: trumpet, female gaita, backing vocals
\n– Gabriel Ray<\/strong>: trombone, male gaita
\n– Olga Pav\u00eda<\/strong>: clarinets (feat. “El Francer”)

The album:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cPsychoTropical<\/strong>\u2019\u2019 is a true musical journey that skillfully blends traditional Latin American sounds with modern and psychedelic touches. The tracks are both catchy and contemplative, offering a harmonic and rhythmic richness that will take you to unexplored musical horizons.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a broad spectrum of the topics addressed: firstly, the simple and wild party (La Conjuntivitis); the sadly familiar crackdowns since 2020 during festive demonstrations in Toulouse (Folkloriptica); social issues such as modern slavery (La Cumbia Libertaria) or the Colombian armed conflict (Fango). Los Guayabo Brothers approach their Colombian identity in a more introspective way (Origins) and also evoke their adopted French culture (El Francer).<\/p>\n
