Elle, r\u00eavant depuis toujours de braquer les wagons du Soul Train. Eux, 5 brigands et leurs instruments, chercheurs de p\u00e9pites Rare Groove. De concerts bouillants en premi\u00e8res parties de grands (Brand New Heavies, Kid Cr\u00e9ole, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Martha High, Lucky Peterson), ils savent chauffer \u00e0 blanc tous les publics gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un son imposant et diaboliquement pr\u00e9cis qui n\u2019a rien \u00e0 envier aux ma\u00eetres Funkateers. Un premier album original \u00ab <strong>Burn<\/strong> \u00bb sorti en 2013, aux vibes soul et furies funk, a emball\u00e9 les critiques souvent peu \u00e9logieux du Made in France.<\/p>\n<p>2015 signe le retour de <strong>Lena and The Deep Soul<\/strong> en studio et dans les bacs avec le bien nomm\u00e9 EP \u00ab <strong>Trippin<\/strong> \u00bb, qui r\u00e9unit 5 nouveaux titres \u00e0 la rythmique imparable, aux riffs psych\u00e9d\u00e9liques et aux chants \u00e0 toute \u00e9preuve. Encore plus gonfl\u00e9 \u00e0 la funkost\u00e9rone que le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent ouvrage, tout y est plus fat, plus tight, plus sexy. On y trouve plus d\u2019arrangements, plus de synth\u00e9s, plus de grattes, plus de grooves et plus de m\u00e9lodies. L\u00e9na, de sa voix de velours, apporte juste ce qu&#8217;il faut de sensualit\u00e9 et de finesse. Ce genre de femme qui aurait mat\u00e9 les Meters du Bayou et les Commodores du Brick House.
