{"id":12595,"date":"2022-03-21T15:04:14","date_gmt":"2022-03-21T14:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/veevcom.com\/?p=12595"},"modified":"2022-03-30T16:05:43","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T14:05:43","slug":"maher-beauroy-presente-insula-au-cafe-de-la-danse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/veevcom.com\/en\/maher-beauroy-presente-insula-au-cafe-de-la-danse\/","title":{"rendered":"Maher Beauroy presents &#8220;Insula&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Maher Beauroy<\/strong> will unveil his new album \u00ab <strong>Insula<\/strong> \u00bb on its <strong>digital release April 29, 2022<\/strong>&nbsp;and <strong>physical release May 13, 2022<\/strong> on <strong>Tropiques Atrium<\/strong> \/ <strong>Baco Distrib<\/strong>.&nbsp;This new work will be presented live on stage on <strong>Thursday June 16, 2022<\/strong> at <strong>Caf\u00e9&nbsp;de la Danse<\/strong> (Paris).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>INSULA<\/strong><br \/>\nWith <strong>INSULA<\/strong>, the Martinican composer and pianist <strong>Maher Beauroy<\/strong> takes us on a musical&nbsp;journey between the Maghreb and the West Indies, drawing inspiration from <strong>Frantz&nbsp;Fanon<\/strong>, who marked several generations of anti-colonialist thought.&nbsp;<strong>Insula<\/strong> was started as a trio in 2016 at the initiative of <strong>Maher Beauroy<\/strong> and <strong>Redha&nbsp;Benabdallah<\/strong>, the oud player and Franco-Algerian musicologist.&nbsp;<strong>Maher Beauroy<\/strong> here brings together on stage an orchestra full of young musicians to take&nbsp;part in a second phase, one rich in new compositions featuring vocals, texts by <strong>Frantz&nbsp;Fanon<\/strong> and traditional Afro-Caribbean instruments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAHER BEAUROY<\/strong><br \/>\nPianist, author, composer, performer from Martinique, he turned to jazz and&nbsp;contemporary music after finishing a solid classical training.&nbsp;Trained at <strong>SERMAC<\/strong>, a training center created by <strong>Aim\u00e9 C\u00e9saire<\/strong>, in Martinique and at the&nbsp;University of <strong>Paris Sorbonne<\/strong>, he earned his Diploma in Musical Studies at the <strong>Maurice&nbsp;Ravel Conservatory<\/strong>.&nbsp;In 2014 he enrolled in the prestigious <strong>Berklee College Of Music<\/strong> (Boston, USA) from which&nbsp;he graduated in 2017.
