{"id":1219,"date":"2014-10-09T13:09:59","date_gmt":"2014-10-09T11:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.veevcom.com\/?p=1219"},"modified":"2019-06-20T15:42:18","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T13:42:18","slug":"fabrice-devienne-presente-dipenda-au-new-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/veevcom.com\/en\/fabrice-devienne-presente-dipenda-au-new-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Fabrice Devienne presents \u201cDipenda\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">The \u201c<strong>Dipenda<\/strong>\u201d album keeps the commitment of words from the original musical creation for the play \u201c<strong>A Season in the Congo<\/strong>\u201d by&nbsp;<strong>Aimee Cesaire<\/strong>.&nbsp;Those&nbsp;<strong>Marc Zinga<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Belgian<\/strong>&nbsp;artist from the&nbsp;<strong>Congo<\/strong>, who lends his voice to the project, and those course&nbsp;<strong>Aimee Cesaire<\/strong>&nbsp;who pays tribute album.&nbsp;The music itself, like \u201cpollen fire\u201d offers a subtle range between light and rich harmonies and both&nbsp;<strong>African<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Cuban<\/strong>&nbsp;rhythms just waiting to ignite.&nbsp;The extreme proximity of these rhythms reminds us of their historical relationship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><strong>Fabrice Devienne<\/strong>, such a stage director, did it effectively. We travel in Europe, Africa and Cuba in the space of this magic triangle elaborated by the pianist.&nbsp;<strong>Dipenda<\/strong>&nbsp;invites us to travel, over oceans and continents, but also at the heart of each song.&nbsp;Thus, \u201c<strong>Mti Umeoza<\/strong>\u201d gives us the velvety vocals of a female voice, doubled in places by lyrical cello, opening the exchange to jazz piano improvisations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Furthermore, where the flute doubles the Rhodes rise mixed reminiscences of Ultramarine or Fal Frett.&nbsp;Yet it\u2019s in \u201c<strong>The song of Pauline<\/strong>\u201d we can feel better the dramaturgical treatment of musical time. Helped by a string quartet of great finesse,&nbsp;<strong>Devienne<\/strong>&nbsp;here reminds us all his work on film music. \u201c<strong>Vienna rainy season<\/strong>\u201d does not derogate from this construction.&nbsp;The choirs of women sound like a prayer in the middle of expectation filled with hope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\">Finally comes the issuance of notes under the beneficent rain of a piano that seems to also regain his freedom.
