AySay<\/strong> will unveil their new album “K\u00d6Y<\/strong>” on its digital release October 13, 2023<\/strong>, on No Bounds Music<\/strong> \/ Believe Digital<\/strong> and on its physical<\/strong> (CD + vinyl) release January 12, 2024<\/strong>, on No Bounds Music<\/strong> \/ InOu\u00efe Distribution<\/strong> (France).<\/p>\n

AySay<\/strong> has, among other things, played Roskilde Festiva<\/strong>l, Heartland Festival<\/strong> and T\u00f8nder Festival<\/strong> in Denmark as well as festivals abroad such as Sinsal<\/strong> (Spain), Arctic Sounds<\/strong> (Greenland), Babel Music XP<\/strong> and Les Escales<\/strong> (France) including a summer tour in Canada. In November 2022, AySay<\/strong> went back to Canada<\/strong>, where they, among other things, played Mundial Montreal<\/strong>. Most recently, they have been won three DMA Roots Awards<\/strong>. The Danish trio will also attend the Eurosonic<\/strong> (ND) on January 17, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In Luna Ersahin<\/strong>\u2019s voice, rests a story of the whole person in a composite world. In Turkish, Danish and Kurdish, she creates a fascinating universe in AySay<\/strong> together with Aske D\u00f8ssing Bendixen<\/strong> and Carl West Hosbond<\/strong>. In the tension between Anatolia\u2019s musical traditions, hand-played instruments and electronic productions, AySay<\/strong>\u2019s unique expression arises.<\/p>\n

The album<\/strong><\/p>\n

With its pop-infused productions and elements of Anatolian psych rock, the album creates a universe where Danish, Turkish, and Kurdish seamlessly intertwine, and folk songs are given new life.<\/p>\n

“K\u00d6Y<\/strong>” translates to “village” in Turkish, and with this single word, AySay<\/strong>‘s new album encapsulates an exploration of identity, belonging, and communities.<\/p>\n

The band<\/strong>
\nFor the active listener, AySay<\/strong>\u2019s music is colorful, interwoven and surprising. For the dancing listener, the music will be enthralling, groovy and uplifting. And for those who use music for an inner journey, Luna\u2019s voice and lyrics will show depth, honesty and hope.
\nIf Altin G\u00fcn<\/strong>, AURORA<\/strong> and Eiv\u00f8r<\/strong> sat down and wrote a song together, it would be the sound of AySay<\/strong>.
\nAySay\u2019s second concert ever was for the opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017. Accompanied by Aarhus\u2019 jazz and symphony orchestras, and with 70,000 people in the audience, this unique event perfectly frames the trio\u2019s ability to both convey essential human themes and embrace a wide audience, always aming to take step closer towards a society that rests in its many differences.
